2025 Season Preview
It’s finally time again, gents. Time for us to kiss the wife and kids goodbye every Thursday for the rest of the summer and retreat to the exclusive golf club known as Tanner Valley. So exclusive one might think that the geese only shit on the greens at Tanner and no where else. After tip-toeing around the shit landmines, we’ll obviously need to cool off after a round in the hot sun. While most modern golf courses cool patrons with luxurious air conditioning, Tanner will go for more of a retro vibe with a giant industrial fan in the corner. Thankfully, we’ll have the best damn bartender in Onondaga County keeping our thirsts quenched.
As most of you remember, we didn’t get to have a season preview last year. Looking forward to this year, the IT Nerd was sitting in his nerd cave thinking who might help us with a preview this year. As I racked my brain, my phone started ringing…and ringing…and ringing! The calls were non-stop when the biggest fan of TBO Golf knew we were looking for someone to help us preview 2025.
Mr. President, we’re thrilled to have you back to preview the 2025 Season here at TBO Golf! How did you know that we were about to start up our year?
Wow, I didn’t think that the happenings of a small league out of Syracuse, NY would attract the attention of the President of the United States! What do you think of the new website? It’s a lot easier to update, I kinda like the look of it…what do you think, sir?
I’m going to move on to our next topic, Mr. President. You clearly are having a bad day and I want us to focus on the golf league. What do you say to giving us your thoughts on the first team?
I can’t imagine what Pat is going to be drinking either! Here’s hoping the tariffs don’t hit him too hard! How about the next team, Mr. President? Believe this is Chris “El Commish” Donegan, Marty Donegan, Dan Kane and Bobby Z?
Electric stuff, Mr. President. I even wonder if Bobby Z has been on the receiving end of a pillow case over the head as well! What about our next team of Dickie, Jon Carroll, Paul Daniels and Jim Morgan?
Wow, third place! I agree that Pope Bendover would have been an incredible addition to the Catholic church. From what I hear, the papal conclave heard a few recordings of his language on the course and decided to go in a different direction! Next up on our list is the team of Connor, Bill John, Sean Mott and Brian “Fig” Thayer?
Not a lot of confidence in that team, eh Mr. President? I don’t know if Connor would resort to creek water just yet, but crazier things have happened at TBO! Can we try to be nice to the golfer on this next one, Mr. President? I know we like to poke fun at each other, but can we be supportive of each other? Let’s try that approach with the team of Devin, Keely, Shanny, Bobby Moran.
How very nice, President Biden! That was very uplifting and a real positive message to the team.
So it seems we’ve got everyone in the middle so far, what about the teams at the top and bottom of the table?
Madam Vice President! Nice to see you are still alive after last November! I agree with you that the team is going to stuggle to reach the top of TBO, but you never know! Who’s our next team up to review?
I know, I know….The IT Nerd has never been the bride here at TBO. One day, Mr. President….one day. I’m also curious to know how you know about Cinnamon from Nedrow? I thought that was only Joe’s main squeeze. ANYWAY, let’s talk about our last team who you think is going to take home the title?
Another Mr. President! What lovely remarks, President Obama. I think its so nice that you, like your former Vice President, share such nice words about our champions. Even admitting that it was you who installed the cameras into the White House to watch all the non-stop TBO action!
I imagine the mental image of having Drew Prucha flying at your vessel in the St. Lawrence river would be quite a shock! So am I understanding this correctly that you think the team of DJ, Dan Mahar, Merritt and Drew Prucha will take down the title?

Welcome to the new TBO Website!
After some refresh to our backend (calm down, Bobby Z), it’s time for a new era here on TBOgolf.com. We’ve migrated from hosting on BlueHost with a WordPress blog engine to everything being done with Squarespace (hosting and engine).
For now, the IT Nerd will be loading the schedule and the basic structure of the site. Will be posting the scores from the week once a few more things are squared away on the backend.
