Top 5 Unluckiest Golfers
- Mike Carroll: Bad year for the IT Nerd. Opponents were +28 vs their quota in matches against him. Only 5 of his opponents all year either shot their quota or were under it.
- Connor Brown: Opponents were +14 vs their quota
- Craig Hawkinson – +11
- Pat Donahue: +10
- Gary Thompson: +10
Top 5 Luckiest Golfers
- Joseph “Jaguar” Donegan: Through smack-talk, stories of his break-dancing escapades with Ellis (Yes, Joe, WE ALL KNOW…) or some form of witch craft, Joe’s opponents crapped the bed vs. Joe. They shot -23 vs. their quota. 10 of his 16 opponents did not even meet their quota…lucky fucking bastard.
- Tony Massa: While most of his luck was in the beginning of the year, his opponents still shot -22 vs. their quota.
- Dickie Donegan: -20 vs their quota
- Bobby Zaleski: His opponents “YEAH BABY’d” their way to shooting -18 vs. their quota
- DJ Mahar: -14 vs. their quota
Top 5 Over-performing golfers
- DJ Mahar: DJ shot his ass off this year. DJ’s first five weeks were not good with him going -3 vs. his quota. Starting in Week 6, DJ was +29 vs his quota and met or exceeded his quota every week.
- Devin Carrigan: +24 vs. his quota
- Pat Donahue: +14 vs. quota
- Mike Burns: +14 vs. quota
- Connor Brown: +12 vs. quota
Top 5 Under-Performing Golfers
- Jeff Raus: To Jeff’s credit, first year golfers typically do not perform well. Jeff was -16 vs. his quota
- Matt Lochner: -15 vs. quota
- John Mooney: -15 vs. quota
- Tom Donegan: Tom battled a lot of injuries this year, so this is a bit misleading. -15 vs. quota
- Chris Donegan: -13 vs. quota
- Martin P. Donegan: -12 vs. quota. I’m including Marty as his entire team (Marty, Chris, Jeff) are all on the Under-Performing list.
Interesting and odd stats:
- Only one golfer can claim this interesting stat: All of their losses were by one point. DJ Mahar had all his 4 losses come by one point. Well done!
- Steve Donegan had EIGHT losses by one point! THAT’S WHY YOU NEVER GIVE PUTTS FOR A POINT!
- The winning score this year is the lowest since converting to the Quota format (75 pts). The interesting thing is that ALL winning scores have been between 75 and 77.5. That averages to about 4.2 pts/wk
- The top two teams each had one week where they got 0 pts and each had two weeks where they swept all 7.
- Only three teams either had zero or one week where they took all 7: Chris/Marty/Raus (1), Steve/Drew/Massa (0) and Hawkinson/Lochner/Thompson (0). Not surprisingly, those are your bottom three teams in the standings.
- Subs this year had a record of 17-18-5 (W-L-D). From the IT Nerd’s point of view, that’s where you want subs to be to have a .500 record. Who benefited the most??
- Jack/Joe/Tom D – Most of these subs were due to Jack in FL and Tom’s injuries throughout the year. Subs went 6-6-1, notching them 13 pts
- Donahue/Bill John/Cregger – Subs were 2-0-1, notching 5 pts
