There was some clammer around the league about updating a stat I once ran which had all time head to head records. With the position night upcoming and the smack talk at an all time high between the top two teams, the IT Nerd found some time to hide away in his nerd hole and refresh the stats. I only included wins/losses/ties.
Here’s how to read the chart:
- Find your name in the left hand column
- Go across the sheet to right to see your record against that person listed in the column header/top row
- The record listed is in W-L-T format. For example, Craig Hawkinson has 2 wins, 3 losses and 1 tie against Connor Brown
Some interesting finds that made me double check the numbers a few times, but turns out they were right. A few examples of some DOMINATION that is going over the years:
- This has to be the #1 example of domination: Tom Donegan has an unblemished record against Bob Moran at 8 wins, no losses, no ties (8-0-0). That’s quite a feat
- Tony Massa has done some regular stomping on a few people: a 9-1-1 record against Bob “Yeah Baby!” Zaleski, 7-0-0 against Jim “Mongoose” Morgan and an 8-2-2 record against Dan Mahar.
- The IT Nerd himself rents space in a few people’s heads as well: a 6-0-0 record against Connor Brown and a 7-0-0 record against Matt Lochner. I enjoy the space you boys rent to me upstairs!!
Looking ahead to the Week 12 matchup at the top of TBO: Donahue/Marty/Cregger vs. Hawk/Lochner/Joe…
Pat Donahue vs. Craig Hawkinson: A pretty even match historically (7-6-0 in favor of Hawkinson) and an even match with both players at 13. Donahue started off the year on fire, but has cooled as of late. Hawk has been a player on the rise with his scores dropping on the back 9. IT Nerd Prediction: Hawk +2, Donahue +1 (Hawk win)
Martin P Donegan vs. Matthew C Lochner: Marty has the slight edge historically (5-3-1 vs. Lochner) and both players have done well on the back. Marty’s improbable win against Mooney last week with a Birdie on #18 to pull off the comeback isn’t likely to happen this time. IT Nerd Prediction: Lochner (+1), Marty (even)
Joseph Donegan vs. Patrick Cregg: An absolute clash of TBO heavyweights (literally). This is the stuff of legend that medievil bards sang to maidens about, people walked two miles in a blizzard up-hill both ways to watch. Another historically even matchup at 6-5-0 with the edge to Joe. Despite the fact that Joe has recorded a 10 on #18 in his last two attempts and is likely to record a third straight, his low quota is too much for Cregger to overcome. IT Nerd Prediction: Joe (+2), Cregger (even)
IT Nerd Overall Preduction: Hawk/Lochner/Joe take all 7
